Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T. shares screen of Jamboard: "What is something you bought recently that you shouldn't have?" T. instructs Ss. to answer question with sticky notes T. does demo of answering question with sticky note T. gives Ss. 1 min to fill out board with sticky notes T. nominates some Ss. to share their thoughts T. conducts brief class feedback

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T. shares screen of Google slides T. tells Ss. they will answer the questions next to the text with partners in break out rooms T. tells Ss. to read the text for gist (general understanding) T. gives time for Ss. to read the text quickly. (1-2 min) T. separates Ss. into breakout rooms to answer questions regarding the text T. brings Ss. back into main room and conducts brief class feedback

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
