During these class, students will make a small survey to find out the answers of their partners. Also, students will use internet conection to write down some examples using frequency of adverbs on jamboard.


Main Aims

  • To provide detailed reading practice using a text about about the text in the context of ralated to hobbies

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide gist reading practice using a text about about hobbies in the context of with the classroom enviroment


Warmer/Lead-in (Guess the hobbie ) (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Teacher will inductively introduce the topic. Students will participate indiually in a small activity, where they have to send a prive chat to the teacher about their favorite hobbie. Then, students will have to guess their partners hobbie.

Pre-Reading/Listening (filling the gaps) (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Students will read the text and answer the first exercise.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (Underatanding details) (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Students will rereade again and answer the second exercise.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (Coding text) (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Students will read again the text and look for the words they donĀ“t undertand to ask the teacher.

Post-Reading/Listening (Student to student conversation) (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Teacher will ask students to have a chat using like and dislike.Also, students will have to produce questions and answers using like and dislike. Teacher wil provide some examples before the activity.
