Description

In this lesson, Ss. practice and revise adjectives related to music. The lesson starts with a discussion about their favourite type of music and if they are good singers or not. This is followed with a task given by tutor where She will ask to write some questions about music. Then tutor will show two words related to music in google jamboard where they will write below each word other adjectives. In third person they will discuss the questions about music in breakout rooms and finally tutor will write their mistakes.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1.Tutor will say that we are going to talk about music 2. Tutor will share screen with two questions What kind of music do you like? and are you a good singer?, students will answer these questions following the tutor example I like so much pop because It can mixed with different genres I like so much metal, because the lyrics are different from another genre. Yes, I took singing lessons and I am an incredible singer No, I am really bad, I only sing in the shower 3. Students will discuss these two question in breakout rooms 4. Tutor will ask 2 students about these two questions

Content preparation (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

1. Tutor will ask students to write some questions related to music 2. Tutor will say you have 2 minutes to write questions about music, in silence prepare maximum 4 questions, mute your microphones 3. Tutor will give examples of these questions do you prefer rock or pop?, Do you like Reggaeton?, who is your favourite singer?, Can you play a musical instrument? Do you think there is a relationship between drugs and music?, What kinds of music do people listen to in your country?. 4.Tutor will ask Ccqs to confirm the exercise is clear How many questions? 4 5. Tutor will say the minutes that are missing

Language preparation (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

1. Tutor will share her screen in google jamboard, where She will show two words related to music and they have to write as many positive adjectives and negative adjectives as they know about this topic. 2. Tutor will send the link through zoom chat 3. Students will have 3 minutes to write as many adjectives as they can 4. Below sadness students will have to write negatives adjectives about music and below cheerful positive adjectives about music, in order to do this they will use sticky notes. 5. Tutor will say the remain time 6. Tutor will ask if they don´t understand any word showed

Speaking tasks (5-11 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

1. Tutor will send students to breakout rooms 2. Students will have 4 minutes to ask as many questions as they can to other students about music. 3. Tutor will ask what did you learn about your friends?, tutor will ask to 2 students 4. Tutor will say now think in other questions about music that you want to ask to your partners. 5. Tutor will rearrange the groups in order they can talk with other people 5. Tutor will say to ss "you have 4 o 5 minutes" 6. Tutor will ask 2 people what do you have to report?

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

1. Tutor will share her screen and she will write the mistakes that she saw 2. Tutor will ask if they can identify the mistakes and if not she will write what was the problem
