Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

* I Will show them a video about collection of old commercials . *I will make an open discussion and ask them "What did these commercials remind you with?"

Context -setting & Pre -teaching vocabulary (3-6 minutes) • To generate students' interest in the Topic of childhood memory & TO make sure students do not face difficult words that might block their understanding

* show the Students two pictures of Justin and Helen on the Power point and ask them " what do you think happened ?" * Start an open class discussion by listening to the students answers and responding genuinely to their opinions. & * Stick the flashcards that show the meaning of the blocking words on the walls and give students a handout with the blocking words. *Ask students to match the words in the Handout with the flashcards on the walls by matching the correct numbers of the blocking words with the numbers of the flashcards. * Hand out the key answer of the Task.

While-Listening #1 (3-6 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

*Hand out the complete Task and ask them to read the sentences for just 2 minutes only . Instruct them to read quickly for the main idea. * Ask them they are going to listen to two stories about Justin and Helen trying to fill the blank in the task they have . * Check in pairs * I will ask them to check their answers by flipping the handout over.

While-Listening #2 (3-6 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

* I will write on the board "who do you think was happier at the end of the story Helen or Justin? why? . * Ask them to listen again to answer to the question that is written on the board. * Start an open class discussion by listening to the students answers and responding genuinely to their opinions. *Handout Justin and Helen's questions and give them just one minute to read them * Ask them to listen again and answer to the questions individually. * check in pairs. * stick the key answers on the wall and ask them to go and check their answers

Post -Listening (3-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

* The student will read the speaking task via power point "Think about an incident from your childhood" . * Ask them to discuss in pairs. * open the discussion with them and listen genuinely to their stories . * Give feedback.
