To provide gist, scan and detailed reading practice using a text about stories in the context of winning the lottery.
To provide fluency speaking practice in a discussions in the context of winning the lottery.
Procedure (45-58 minutes)
-T will play a song recored (also showing the lyrics). -Ss listening to the song. -T asks CCQ's regarding some of the words in the lyrics. -T using the topic of the song (money) as a lead to "winning the lottery" topic of the lesson.
- T shows the text and give the students 2min. to read it. - T shows task and gives instructions. - T askes CCQ's to check with Ss - Ss take 2 min to solve the task individually. - Ss gives feedback - T shows AK, SS check there answers.
- T shows task and gives instructions. - T sends slide# to students A & slide# to students B. - Ss read their slides and check there tasks. - T asks ICQ's to check with Ss. - T sends Ss to BOR's. - Students discussing BOR's - T monitor Ss in BOR's - Ss come back & give feedback's. - T gives AK.
