Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T. begins timer to keep lead-in under 5 min. T. shares screen of lead-in questions: - Which sports do you play? - Do you play any games like chess or cards? T. does demo of answering/asking the questions (1 min) T. nominates some Ss. to share their answers to engage students in the lesson (2 min)

Exposure (10-15 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T. informs Ss. of task: to read text for gist T. shares screen of Google Sites that has the text; 5 short-worded questions in the context of sports and games, with the question word in bold. (1 min) T. gives instructions: Take 2 min to read this text quickly for general understanding. - T does demo by reading aloud speedily to emphasize reading quickly (1 min) T. sends link to Google Sites T. gives 1-2 min for Ss. to read text (2 min) After 2 min, nominates Ss. to share their thoughts or if any know some of the answers (1 min) T. shares screen of Google Forums to show Ss. task before playing recording T. shares link to Google Forums T. tells Ss. to listen to recording to get the answers to the questions (1 min) T. plays recording for Ss. and gives time for them to answer questions individually. (2 min) T. separates Ss. into breakout rooms where they will peer-check. (2 min) - T. monitors and informs teaching T. regroups the Ss. and nominate them to answer the questions and gives the correct answers. (4 min)

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
