Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

_I'll stick two photos on the board. _Then I'll ask the Ss How do people spend their leisure time? Discuss the difference between these two photos with your partner.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

_ I ''ll ask the students to match these words with their photos. _Give them five minutes. _Check in pairs. _Feedback.

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

_I'll teach the blocking words which might face in test (1) _ I 'll show the Ss some pictures trying to elicit the words. -Write the form and ask the Ss about the class of the word. -Explain or clarify the stress.

Test #2 (9-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

_I'll give to the Ss task "complete the missing part with suitable verb. _Give them three minutes to do the task. _Check in pairs. _Feedback. .................................. **Another task.** _Match the phrases in (A) with their opposite in (B). _Give them three minutes to do the task. _Check in pairs. _Feedback.

Free practice (15-18 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-I'll ask the Ss to speak about their leisure time in a day, -I'll give them five minutes to prepare the ideas by writing their notes. -I'll help them writing their notes by giving them a paper which includes the time of the day. ** another task _ I will ask Ss to choose four activities from the box to ask a partner about. _Then choose four more activities to ask a new partner about.
