To provide practice of about cities, attractions, tourism in the context of talking about places
To provide specific information listening practice using a text about description in the context of talking about places
Procedure (30-45 minutes)
T shows slides with name and "3 fun facts about me" in a shape of a triangle. T says what are the 3 fun facts about herself and then asks each S to share their. Short and fast activity to know everybody.
T shows slides with the a picture of New Zealand. T introduces the audio (1st time) for S to pay attention in general. T shows next slide "Can you tell me six things about NZ?". T asks the S to say some answers. T introduces task 1, T explains the activity and does 1 as an example. T sends the link of G.Form in the group chat. T asks them to work individually and checks answers in OCFB. Answer key :1.1/2.1/3.3/4.2/5.3/6.1
T shows S in Jamboard different vocabulary, words, questions and possible answers. T shows S with an example about how she would of her own country. T shows possible complex vocabulary to the S during the stage. T divides S in pairs and in breakout rooms and encourage S to use the vocabulary talking about the city or country they live in. T use breakout rooms to separate S. T monitors the room and take notes of mistakes and problems. T brings the S back to the class after 5 minutes and asks S to share their answers in OCFB.
T will separate S in pairs again. T will show S task 3 in G.Forms. Each pair will have a city and they will need to create 3 different sentences. They will have 6 keywords that will help them to create the sentences related to food, geography, animals or weather. T will show them the previous page in Jamboard to use as reference. T will do an example. T will separate them in breakout rooms and monitor while they work. T will stop the breakout rooms and provide S OCFB. T will ask questions related to the city and will listen the 3 sentences each. We will correct pronunciation in that moment.
We will check with S pronunciation, and how they create their sentences. T will write them in Jamboard and well check. T will provide OCFB. T will use drilling while in context.
