Teacher Practice 1
To provide exchanging information on everyday life topics by using different types of dialoges about booking or check ing ins.
To provide fluency in understanding and telling different email and website adresses.
Procedure (33-47 minutes)
Teacher will asks if the students use internet efficiently if so which things they use on internet. What kind of programs they use in order to communicate with their friends or families. Teacher elicits information about how they use internet. Teacher shows the some symbols about internet and lets her students repeat them aloud.
Students will listen to different email addresses and websites. They will try to say what they hear to the Teacher with the help of the symbols that they have learnt in the previous stage. T shows the correct answers on the board so the students see the differences between their answers and the correct answers.
T shows 3 different pictures to the students and asks them what kind of places they are. First they discuss in pairs and later They tell their predictions. If there is any confusion about the predictions T doesn't correct and let them find the correct ones in the other stage.
Students will listen 3 different dialogues and try to match the dialoges with the correct pictures which they've already made predictions about.
The students will listen the dialogues again and try to write the missing information on "complete the dialogue handout" in pairs. If the students can not get the specific information for the first time, Teacher lets them listen twice or three times. They check the answers as a WC.
Teacher gives them some email addresses. They will work in pairs. Students A will dictate an address and Student B will try to write it correctly. After all the addresses are dictated they will check in pairs and see their mistakes. If-time: if teacher needs extra time she wants different students come to the board and write the correct email or website adresses.
