Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-The T starts the class with a short greeting like this : -Hi guyes -How are you doing ? -did you have an enjoable weekend ? -Sara , How is your younger brother ? is he still cute ? -Danial , how is your sister ? does she still sing ? -Ss get paired randomly . -T ; look this slide ( pic 1) - What is your position in your family ? - First born , middel child , youngest child or the only child ? -discuss this Q with your partner in 2 min . ـ T is monitoring and Take note their position in the family . - after 2 min - T : Maryam , Are you the only child ? - How do u describe an only child ? - T: Sepehr , Are you the youngest child ? - How are the youngest children like?

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

-T gives following adjectives to each S - Generous / patient / clever / honest - Then those students that have the same adjective will be together. - T : listen and complete the chart with adjectives in your pairs. - T asks a volunteer from each group (4 groups ,4 columns ) to share the answers.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

-T : guess the meaning of highlighted words . individually in 2 min - T : share your ideas with your partner .

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

- T : match the highlighted words with suitable definition . individually in 4 minutes . - T asks 6 Ss to share their answers . - T starts some choral and individual repetitions . - T : in your pairs guess these 6 adjectives' part of speech . individually - T : check your answers on dictionary .

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

- Ss will get paired randomly . - T, fill the blank with suitable adjective in your pairs in 5 minutes. - Ss one by one will read the complete sentences in order of the list .( each S 1 sentence )

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

- T divides Ss into 2 groups by 2 colors . Blue and Pink - T : Blue gruop , describe your Father or your brother's personality by new vocabulary items - Pink group , describe your mother or sister's personality .mention their position in their family and do it individually in 3 minutes . record your voice message . ICQs: - how much time do u have ? - pink G mother of father ? -Blue G mother of father ? - individually or with your partner ? - After 3 minutes : - T : send your voice messages in the class.
