Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets and S answers. T asks: "What have you done last week?" S shares her assignment and homework. T asks S about the difficulties he has faced. or his achievements. Then the class goes through a short question and answer mode, like part1 of the IELTS speaking test. (Here T evaluates if the S is following T's recommendations. The S has been asked to think about his personal life and take notes, so he must be readier than the session before to talk about personal related topics)

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

The S has been provided by listening and reading input about the topic Sleep(6 Paragraphs). He has been asked to listen and read to as many paragraphs as he can and extract the vocabulary. (If the S hasn't done that, spend time at class for listening and reading input) T gives instructions and asks ICQs. T asks S to extract two questions with long answers for each paragraph. T asks S to answer them. ( T can be scaffolding here by trying to answer some first questions. T reminds S of paraphrasing)

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T gives instructions and asks ICQs. T shows S word clouds of each two paragraphs, one at a time. T also share the linking word sheet constantly throughout this stage S looks at it and reads them loud and says if he can remember them. T asks CCQs. S tries to make short sentences with each phrase. S uses connectors and linking words FANBOYS and others to make longer sentences. S can write his sentences if he wants to.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T asks questions about the topic. S answers with long sentences. S must be able to use the related vocabulary and produce short sentences correctly. Some errors in using linking words are ok.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T writes S's errors on the Storm board and aks S to help to correct. T asks S a summary of today's lesson and how he feels about the lesson.
