Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T and Ss introduce each other T present picture of airport check-in T will ask the Ss what the picture is about T will guided discovery for Ss T will portray topic 'Was your flight check-in difficult?' T will send Ss into break a room: 2 minutes OC discussion

Exposure (5-6 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading

T will send link by google forms T will scaffold instructions T will present instructions on slides for further understanding Ss complete the task: 2 minutes T portray answers on slides and ask Ss to check and compare

Useful Language (5-7 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T will teach MFP for: I beg your pardon?, Could you repeat your name, please? , Pardon and I didn't quite catch that T will cover M.F.P for the phrases T will utilize guided discovery learning T will be learner centred to make sure the Ss are understanding

Productive Task(s) (18-21 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T will provide speaking activity: Role play Speaking task 1: Ss will role play flight check-in by having 1 Ss be the check-in staff and the rest are pretending to check-in. After one Ss completed, the role will change. T will explain the instructions and present it on slides T will scaffold 'role play' by demonstrating with a Ss If Ss still don't understand the instructions, T will demo with other candidate T send Ss into break a room and practice role playing: 5 minutes T conduct DEC: 2 minutes Speaking task 2: Ss role play airport security by having 1 Ss be the security and the rest going through security. After completion, the role changes T will scaffold 'role play' by demonstrating with a Ss If Ss still don't understand the instructions, T will demo with other candidate T send Ss into break a room and practice role playing: 5 minutes T conduct DEC: 2 minutes Speaking task 3: Ss role play airport food by having one Ss be the counter staff and the rest are ordering food.
