Description

In this lesson, students will learn and speak productive skill speaking about daily routines.

Materials

Abc Google Slides and Google Forms

Main Aims

  • To provide content preparation, language preparation and speaking practice about daily routines

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide speaking accuracy and general ideas about the topic

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will break the ice by asking "what time is there? Tell us what you did today.' Ss will talk about the question in breakout rooms.

Content preparation (4-6 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

This stage helps Ss generate idea that they can use speaking. SoI will provide a content overview about the topic. A written daily routine is posted on the slide as a sample and I will talk it out loud. Then few follow up questions will be presented to ensure Ss have a clear idea about the topic.

Language preparation (5-6 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

I will introduce four expressions regarding the topic, and I will have a light MFP and appropriacy of them. I focused on pronunciation mostly.

Productive Task(s) (19-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

I will provide three speaking activities, one at a time. They wlil have 5-7 minutes each time, and there will be DEC at the end of each activity.

Feedback and Error Correction (6-7 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

First, will show some checking criteria for Ss to check. For example, did the group members answer following questions? Finally, I will conduct a DEC at the end of the class.
