Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets Ss Ss will look at the following link: T will pose the question: "What are some other words to use for greetings and sign-offs in emails? Write your answers in the padlet." This should take 2 mins. No break-out rooms since it will take too long. T says "Great job everyone, next we will look at a short passage of an email. I want you to look at the three titles on the bottom and tell me which one fits best. Write the number in the chatbox." (Answer is 2.) Jamboard: This should also take 2 mins.

Exposure (9-11 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T provides Instructions: "Next I want you to take a look at the following link. Here is the full email from the passage you just read. This time, I only want you to look at the circled parts and then answer the questions below. You have 3 minutes." Link: Post answers in the chatbox: 1. greeting. 2. In the beginning. 3. Yes 4. False. T continues "Next we will go over some aspects of the email." Google Slides, share screen: Answers - Slide 1: True, Yes Slide 2: False, it depends Slide 3: Yes, First name Should take 7 mins max. Don't forget to time it.

Useful Language (7-9 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

T gives next directions: "Now I want you all to answer the following questions based on what we just learned. You have 6 minutes." Link: Conduct a short OCFB on two questions.

Productive Task(s) (15-17 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

T provides next instructions: "Now you will practice your writing skills. I want you to take 10 minutes to write an email on the following topic (read the instructions on padlet)." "Alright everyone, next you will be reading a partner's email in break out rooms. I want you to check to see if your partner was able to complete everything on the list. Give your partner a grade from 1-6 based on if they completed everything or not." Open Breakout rooms, close after 5 mins.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Ask peers to skim through the other emails as well. Ask the Ss opinion on the other emails. Conduct DEC through whiteboard.
