Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students talk about what they wanted to be when they were at secondary schools.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

Students listen to 8 celebrities and find out what they wanted to be. Students see Present Perfect and check the difference from Past simple.

Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Students work on Grammar on page 63, and Practice 1 (quick choice) on page 64 with recordings.

Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language

Students see and hear another example of present perfect in classmates situations. Teacher provide MFP of Present Perfect from 5 classmates.

Planning (6-8 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to plan students' reports

Students see verb conjugation lists and prepare their ambitions and dreams stories.

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

Students talk their stories in pairs and peer check, and feedback to the class.

Report (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went

Teacher praises good language and gives delayed error corrections.
