To provide gist and intensive listening practice of family member topic
To provide opportunity to learn new vocabularies and practice speaking regarding the topic
Procedure (36-45 minutes)
I will first introduce myself and my family members including the names, jobs, married, etc. Then I will ask students to talk about their family in breakout rooms.
I will teach 3 vocabularies before any other tasks so that they can listen to the audio easier. Light MFP will be included.
I will provide a gist listening. Students need to listen and answer 1 general question.
In this stage, an intensive LC task is provided. Ss will be asked to read the questions for 1 minutes, and then listen to the audio again and answer 5 questions.
In this stage, I will put students in breakout rooms and discuss what occupation they wanted to become.
