Procedure (35-45 minutes)
1. City life. Ask students a) What are some good aspects of living in the city? b) What are some bad aspects of living in the city? 2. Show different pictures of people reading and walking. Connect info with Emma’s and Mike’s living situation.
3. Students are going to listen to audioclip 2.7. 4. Ask students to find out how each speaker feels about living in the city. Learners listen and answer individually. (1:41 min) 5. Ss compare their answers while T monitors (Breakout rooms) 6. OCFB
7. Meaning Form and Pronunciation: On time, on holiday, and on the way.
2b. Students complete the following sentences using the phrases in the box. Learners answer individually (google forms). Have learners compare answers in pairs before OCFB
11. Students need to share their ideas about where to go on holiday and why. (Breakout rooms) 12. OCFB
