Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency


Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage, I will help the students to break the Ice because they see me for the first time so, I will play with them an introduction game using a ball. It would be so funny.

Pre_Listening (3-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I teach them some words which might be complicated while listening such as (Airport, Chess, beach) using visuals like Pictures.

While_Listening #1 (4-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information listening tasks

I will start giving them a goal to focus while listening the conversation for the first time to lead them to the next stage. It would be useful and wonderful. The feedback would be simple.

While-Listening #2 (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference listening tasks

The most detailed stage. I will give them more challenging questions. I would help them to focus and I will do chesting to show them the way. I will make some CCQS to make sure they understand well. About the answer sheet. It is going to be a surprise for the.

Post-Listening (2-3 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will just ask them a question related to the conversations they listened to provide them an opportunity to practice speaking.
