To practice listening for gist and specific information
Procedure (33-44 minutes)
Ss are asked to discuss in pairs traits they admire in people giving reasons why they like them.
Teach the new vocabulary through a matching exercise. Clarify the meaning through CCQs Model and drill the stressed syllables in every word
Ss are asked to do a role- trait matching activity. Ss are going to listen to two ladies talking about who they admire. Ss will be asked first to identify who each one is talking about . Then listen again to find why like them.
Ss are instructed to do speaking task page 43. Then, report to the class.
Ss are asked to discuss in pairs the reasons for their choices in the role- trait match exercise. Then report to the class. -Class feedback
