Students for this exercise will be put in breakout groups and would be asked to talk about the following topics in groups: What is an important date for you? and why? Any interesting town or city you have visited? Important person to you when you where growing up and why? I want you to discuss the following task in groups the following questions in pairs. You have 3 minutes for this task. After completing the task, OCFB.

Exposure (5-6 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Students will have a gist task to complete around the following text. I will then ask them to answer the question on google forms for the gist task which introduces to them the target language. they will then feed back in groups to discuss their answers. OCFB to check understanding. For this task, I want you to read the text and answer the following question on google forms. You have 3 to read and answer the question on google forms. How long do you have to read and answer the question? 3 minutes. After you have finished reading, where you you answer the question? Google forms.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Students will be exposed to the MFP of the target language. This stage I will make use of CCqs and examples to explain meaning , form and pronunciation as well as appropriately where applicable. I will show images of objects on google jamboards to elicit from students to explain target language. e.g. a picture of a house where a person used to live when they were young. what do you think this picture is? Is it important to them ? why? Where do you think it is exactly? The picture is of a house where they used to live when they were young. It is important to them because..( students reason here). The house is in a small village in Devon.

Controlled practice (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

For this stage, I will be monitoring students whilst they are busy with their speaking activity and observe their usage of the target language . Students will be rotated in pairs 2 or 3 times. For this task , I want you to in pairs to talk about the six blue circle on page 7 using the useful language box. One of you will be asking the questions and the other will be answering, in as much detail as possible. Example: where exactly is your house? My old is in Oval, a Borough called Southwark in London. You have 7 minutes to complete this task and you will swap with your partner afterwards. How long do you have? 7minutes. What will you be doing? In pairs asking and answering the blue circle using the useful language box.

Feedback and Error Correction (5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

At this, I will point out some of the errors I have observed during monitoring from pronunciation to form and usage of the phrases incorrectly. This can be done by asking trick questions such as " which is the correct pronunciation? last or last?
