Description

In this lesson, students will practice speaking in the context of traveling. The lesson will start with a lead in for engaging students. After I done scaffolding, students will do practices 6 A, B, and C. Feedback on the content and scaffolding are done after every task. At the end, I will do error correction.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets Ss T show Ss pictures of cities. Ss say which city they would like to go to. Ss answer few questions about traveling.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

T do scaffolding.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Ss do practice 6 A page 89 where they fill a table after looking at tourists cards. T do scaffolding T gives feedback on the content.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Ss work in groups for practice 6B page 89 where they talk about information of other citites. Ss report their peers answers. T do scaffolding. T gives feedback on the content. Ss work in groups for practice 6C page 89 where students talk about travelling to cities and give their opinions on them. Ss report to T their peers answers. T do scaffolding T gives feedback on the content.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

T projects some language errors Ss did during speaking practices and good sentences they said. T elicit the mistake and the correction from Ss. Ss know the correct answers. T wishes Ss a great day.
