Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Students for this task will work in groups and discuss a group of topics and interests comparing ideas and seeing whether they agree or disagree. For this task, I want you to discuss in groups what country you think this is? You have 4 minutes .

Exposure through gist task (3-5 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

For this task, I will be focusing on introducing the target language through a gist task in the form of an audio and students will be tasked on highlighting the main ideas of the audio and who agrees and disagrees in summary. Students after finishing the tsk will work will peer assess followed up by OCFB. I want you to listen to this audio , after you finish listening , I want you to answer the questions on google forms. You have 3 minutes to complete this task.

Clarification (10-12 minutes) • To Cover Meaning, Form, and pronunciation of TL

After exposure to the target language through the gist task, I will highlight the target language through the use of google jam boards on meaning, form and pronunciation.. Eliciting from the students and using ccqs to consolidate understanding. Anticipated problems and solutions: students may pronounce "think" with an s Pronunciation of the word would be corrected and drilled individually and chorally Students may struggle with the positive and negative usage for so and perhaps as it may be unfamiliar to them. Through sentence structure and examples, I will highlight the correct usage to them. Students may also assume that not and no are interchangeable hence err in its usage. I would explain to them how not follows an auxiliary verb and no for a noun. I would start the lesson by eliciting from students what kind of person they think the person in the image is" What kind of person do you think Morgan is? I would then ask them what kind of job do they think she would have " what do you think she works as , a soldier , or nurse or teacher etc. Using this , I would direct them to the correct structure usage when agreeing and disagreeing. I would then drill in the correct pronunciation of the words chorally and analyse form and pronunciation through drilling and asking questions" where is the linking"?

Controlled practice (10-12 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Students will be asked to complete ex 29 and will be given 10-15 mins to complete the task. They will then peer assess and upon completion OCFB. Look at the table on page 29. I want you to complete the table as you listen to the audio. For example , Morgan her interests is meeting new people. where do we write that? in the interest box ? How long do you have to complete the exercise ? 5 minutes.

Freer Practice (5-7 minutes) • Create a communicative task for learners to use the language fluently

Students will develop on the target language in this task by speaking in groups. Upon completion of the task OCFB. Students would talk about the task on page 28 in groups.

Feedback and Error Correction (5-6 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

At this stage, students' understanding would be tested through questions as well as any misunderstandings observed throughout the lesson would be clarified.
