For the students to be able to write a review about a touristic landmark.
For students to get more fluent and adaptive to any context,relying on their previously acquired vocabulary and grammar tools.
Procedure (33-45 minutes)
-T uses some pictures to elicit some vocabulary relevent to tourism and landmarks. -T introduces an example of the writing task by asking a question
-T gives a model of the expected writing for Ss to read. -After reading the text,T asks Ss a gist question to identify the content and confirm familiarity with the topic and the vocabulary. -T guides Ss in an analysis of the general layout of the text:the organization,the steps,the linguistic register that's used in such activities. -T highlights some of the necessary language for the students to use (tenses,vocabulary,collocations..)
-T gives Ss time to do the writing task,while he monitors from a distance in the Google Docs platform
-After monitoring the writings of Ss,T selects a few good sentences to set exemple,and other sentences with mistakes to correct. -T starts PW for students to go over selected sentences,adobt the correct one and rectify the mistakes.
