Present three pictures of days, day and night, and the clock; to set the context and elicit from the sts that we will study time phrases. 1- Look at this picture, what is this? ok, now look at this one, what is this about?, and the third one the same way. 2- They are all about what? about TIME, so today we will talk about what?Time.

Pre-teach Task (3-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language (on, in, at) through some model time phrases

Take one one of the time phrases (Sunday, morning,,,) and put it in the correct place, and say: 1- is this the right place for it? yes.... then take another...and the thrid. 2- How can we say this? on Sunday!!... and stick each in the right place through eliciting from sts by saying: 3- so we say: On sunday, In the morning, at six o'clock (with drilling)

Language Focus (5-6 minutes) • To provide practice of time phrases and (on, in, at)

First i stick all of the cards on the WB, and draw the table for the activity. then give instruction on the activity by saying: 1- What is here on the WB? cards!! what do we do with them? stick them in the correct places. 2- 'on' takes what? days! so what comes here now? Who knows? ok, come and stick it in the correct place, ....then day and night....then the clock. 3- Drill chorally and focus on the stress. 4- CQs: with day? on. with day and night? in and at. with time? at. Now give me some examples.

Semi-Controlled Practice (4-5 minutes) • To fill the gaps with the correct prepositions.

chest the HO, and show them to fill the gaps with prepositions (on, in, at) and say: 1- Look here, write here (on, or in, or at) as the first example. (2 minutes) 2- Now check your answers with your friend. (1 minutes) 3- Let's check the answers.

Listening for gist (8-10 minutes) • To lets sts listen for gist and prepare them for listening for detail

Chest the HO and give short instruction to listen and choose the correct words: 1- Take your HO, and turn over the other side. 2- look at the photo of Carol, Tom, and Nadine. Listen to their conversation, and choose the correct words in the sentences (explain by miming, gesturing, modeling the first example). 3- Lets check the answers.

Listening for detail (8-10 minutes) • To Listen to the conversation for detail and answer the yes/no na and Wh questions

To let the sts listen to the conversation for detail and answer the questions by saying: 1- Now listen carefully to the conversation and answer the Qs. 2- Work in pairs, check the answers 3- Let's check the answers together.

Board race Game (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with freer practice of time phrase and preposition and let them learn with fun

---- Stick the prepositions on the WB in the middle. ---- Divide the class into two groups and have Board race game: 1- This side group A, and this side group B. 2- We are going to play a game. 3- Make 2 lines: One person from each group will play. 4- I stick the word on the Board, you grab the preposition and stick it next to it 5- (I will model it) 6-I will give marks to the winner group. Then i will divide the class into 3 groups: 1,2,3s: 1s come here. 2s come here. 3s come here. 1- take these cards and stick them on the ground in 3 groups: sit down all: (I will model it) 2- who finished first wins. 3- Peer group check answers.
