Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1-I WILL START AN IMAGINARY STORY WHICH IS : I CALLED MY MOTHER AND ASKED HER ABOUT THE OTHERS IN MY FAMILY .1-2 MINUTES. 2-I WILL ASK SIMPLE QUESTIONS FROM SOME STUDENTS ABOUT ONE OF THE PEOPLE IN THEIR FAMILY i.e :1-2 MINUTES WHATS IS YOUR FATHER'S(BROTHER , SISTER, etc )'s NAME. HOW OLD IS YOUR COSINE , FATHER , GRAND FATHER etc . .

PRE-TEACH VOCABULARY (6-12 minutes) • TO PREVENT LEARNERS BLOCKING ON UNKNOWN VOCABULARY IN THE QUESTIONS OR ANSWERS.

1- I WILL USE MY SLIDES TO TEACH THEM NEW VOCABULARIES AND WHILE TEACHING I WILL DRILL THEM BY ASKING SOME QUESTION TO REACH MY AIM .4-5 MINUTES 2- IN THE END OF TEACHING I WILL ASK THEM TO DO EXERCISE 2 (REF:CUTTING EDGE ELEMENTARY,THIRD EDITION,AUTHORS: SARAH CUNNINGHAM etc.)2-3 MINUTES 3-I WILL MONITOR THEM WHILE DOING THIS TASK. 6-I WILL GIVE THE ANSWERS BY THEIR HELP.3-4

SET CONTEXT (2-3 minutes) • TO GENERATE INTEREST IN THE TOPIC OF THE TEXT

1-I WILL SHOW THEM JUST THE PHOTOS OF THE LESSON AND I WILL ASK THEM TO LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND MAKE A TITLE FOR THE ARTICLE AND I WILL LET THEM TO TALK .

GIST TASK (5-7 minutes) • TO GIVE LS A REASON TO READ AT A GENERAL LEVEL

1-I WILL ASK THE LS TO READ THE ARTICLE FAST AND ANSWER THE FIRST QUESTION(1 A) .2-3 MINUTES 2-I WILL GET SURE BY ASKING ICQs: ARE YOU GOING TO READ IT LOUD OR QUIET ? ARE YOU GOING TO DRAW OR WRITE ? 3-WHILE THEY ARE READING I WILL MONITOR THEM . 4-I WILL PUT THEM IN A GROUP TO CHECK THE ANSWERS .1-2 MINUTES. 5-I WILL MONITOR THEM . 6-I WILL GIVE THE ANSWERS BY THEIR HELP ..1-2

1-I WILL GIVE THE LEARNERS (Q 1-B ) AND I WILL ASKED THEM TO READ THE TEXT AGAIN TO FIND THE ANSWER,2-3 MINUTES 2-I WILL DO ICQs TO CHECK THEIR UNDERSTANDING : ARE YOU GOING TO READ IT LOUD OR QUIET ? ARE YOU GOING TO DRAW THE ANSWER OR WRITE THE ANSWER ? ARE YOU GOING TO WRITE THE NAMES OR NUMBERS ? 3-I WILL MONITOR THEM AND I WILL REPEAT THE TASK AGAIN IF IT'S NECESSARY. 4-I WILL CHECK THE ANSWER WITH THEIR HELP.2-3

1-I WILL ASK THEM TO READ THE ARTICLE AGAIN MORE CAREFULLY TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OF THE BOOK P-19( Q 3 ). 4-5 MINUTES 2-AFTER THEY FINISH I WILL PUT THEM IN A GROUP TO DISCUSS ABOUT THEIR ANSWERS.2-3 MINUTES 3-WHILE THEY ARE DOING SS-SS I WILL MONITORING THEM AND IF IT'S NECESSARY GIVE INFORMATION OF THE TASK AGAIN . 4-AFTER THEY FINISH READING I WILL CHECK THE ANSWERS AND GIVE THEM THE CORRECT ANSWERS BY SHOWING THE RELATED SENTENCES IN THE ARTICLE BY MY SLIDE.4-5 MINUTES.

FOLLOW UP (3-4 minutes) • TO GIVE Ls THE CHANCE TO RESPOND TO THE TEXT TO BALANCE PRODUCTIVE AND RECEPTIVE SKILLS.
