In this lesson students learn about the past simple through guided discovery based on a reading about Travel and Holidays. The lesson starts with a lead in discussion about what they did last week? This is followed by a reading text about travel and then follows with explicit past simple affirmative, negative, interrogative paragraphs. Then there is a listening exercise for detail of places for travel. Finally there is a Pronunciation listening for the /t/, /d/, /Id/ sounds and in the flexible stage there is a discussion about past travel and holiday experiences.
