Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

power point 1 slide, elicit the topic from Ls based on pictures. in 1 min _T ask 'what u can see in these two pictures ?' _'compare these two pictures' _'what else u can see?'

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

_ T ask students' can u imagine a world with out cars' ? _'who can imagine a world without cars?' _'who is for cars and who is against cars?'(to be motivative ask them to be in two groups for and against). please seat in your new groups. _ draw a chart on board _'what are the advantages / ədˈvɑːntɪʤ / and disadvantages/ dɪsədˈvɑːntɪʤ / of being in a world with out cars?' _T explain the meaning of advantage and disadvantage if they don't know.MFP _ Instructions:in your group talk to each other and you have 5 minutes. _CCQS: Are going to talk about the advantages and disadvantages? _ how much time do you have ? _ T ask Q based on course book ,talk in their groups,for saving papers do not give them hand out. _T ask students to talk and then come to the board give each group a marker to write up their guesses. _distant monitoring _FB or gently correct

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

_T say to Ls that in this issue who is responsible ? answer 'governments' _ To highlight the role of governments should do T 'what governments should do or shouldn't / ought to do to encourage people to drive less?' _If learners don't know the meaning of encourage and discourage T give them definitions. _give Ls matching vocabulary to know more about _power point show vocabularies to know if learners are familiar with .

Productive Task(s) (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

_power point 3rd write them two questions on it to discuss about that in pairs or groups depend on number of students. _ giving instructions and ask ICQS you have 5 minutes ICQS : Are you going to do it individually ? Are you going to use these words on power point ? _T rearrange groups using different colored chocolates( so in the new groups ls have more opportunity to speak) _T" now share your ideas in your new group".
