Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1_ Teacher will show the ss some pictures related to technology. 2_ Teacher asks students if they are supporting technology or they are against it? 3_ Teacher discus with ss why are they with/against technology?

Pre-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

1_ T shows the ss some pictures for the target vocabulary. 2_ T tries to elicit the vocabulary from the ss. 3_ T drills the vocabulary. 4_ T gives vocabulary Ref ( HO contains the target vocabulary list)

While-Reading/Listening #1 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

1_ Teacher gives the ss Ex 4 hand out. 2_ T gives ss time to read the questions. 3_ T asks the ss to read the text in 3 minuets and answer the questions. 4_ T asks ss to check their answers in pairs. 5_ T gives answer key.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

1_ T gives the ss Ex 5 hand out. 2_ T gives ss time to read the questions. 3_ T gives ss time to read the text again in five minutes and answer the questions. 4_ T asks ss to check their answers in pairs. 5_ T gives answer key.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

1_ T divides the students into group A (with technology) and group B (against technology). 2_ Ss in groups discus why they are with/against technology. 3_ Teacher monitors ss while talking and taking notes for error correction. 4_ T provides a written FB ( on the board) discus it with ss.
