Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To engage students

_T explain about her relatives and herself such as I like climbing but my brother doesn't like climbing he likes playing tennis and my sister likes swimming and actually my mother dosen't like any of them...

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

_ T say S stand up in pairs talk to your friend about one of your families in 5 mins and after 2 mins now and find new partner and talk about your relative with new partner. or say them swap friends _ICQS: are you gonig to do it individully or in pairs ?are you talking about one of your families or two ?and you have 5 mins?ok _monitoring to get what already know and take notes this free practice

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

_T ask S what they can remember about adele AND write on the board e.g SHE likeS simple clothes ,elicit more examples use different verb such as ,SHE IS from london,SHE liveS in england,SHE HAS a dog,SHE IS nervous about big concerts,SHE likeS black clothes. -highlight third person S and use of DOESN'T,and we don't say she doesn't likes,we use PLURAL NOUN FORM after likes and hates,ING FORM after activities that people like or dislike such as she like singing. _ask students to read study 1 on page 144 for more explanation

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

_listen audio script 4.2 on page 168 and ask S highlight which are positive which are negative when they hear that _S listen to audio scripts 4.4 on page 168 and show them how to count syllables for the first couple of verbs such as LIKES =1 syllable and WATCHES=2 syllable ,drill the verbs chorally and individually

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

_1a T with chest show the practice exercise and ask S to write 4 true and 4 false sentences _1b S have 2 mins ,work in pairs and take turns one after another, check your sentences with your partner if they are true or false about adele ,individually or in pairs ? you have ....2 mins _ In extra time s for more practice, give them hand out on page 145
