Description

In this part of the lesson students will learn some new vocabularies, collocations with sound, correct pronunciation and word stress.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, review and practice of different Adjectives and their correct pronunciation in the context of Travel plan

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency and accuracy

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

we will have some free discussions, i will try to find out what your group knows about a topic before i begin a new lesson.

Highlighting (1-1 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will ask student to highlight the word sound in the first practice and to think about its meaning before we start the practice

Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

clarifying structure, i will play the first part of course book practices and i will ask them to tick the correct answer , then i will ask them to share their reply in groups of 3 and to think of probable meaning of the sentences in practice

Controlled Practice (4-5 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

student will put adjective from exercise to under correct stress pattern , they will be asked to repeat the adjectives loudly to understand if they pronounce words correctly. ther can compare their reply before they check it with class

Semi-Controlled Practice (4-7 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

using the adjective in the table , they will be asked to make 3 sentences with three different tenses. they should be grammatically correct

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

pair work practice, student take turn to make sentences using the vocabulary that already learned trough above exercises , they should be careful about correct grammar and correct intonation when they are talking to each other about themselves
