To provide clarification and practice for students for words about feelings in the context of music
To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of music and feelings
Procedure (42-57 minutes)
I will show them different pictures of different emotions. Students will try to describe in their own language the state of the character in the picture. I will write their answers on the board.
The students read the fragments in HO1. Students work in pairs to match the words with the pictures in the board.
I will ask for situations that provoke certain feelings in hte students'. Students work solo to finish the sentences in HO1 with situations that makes them true for them.
This stage is for drilling the TL and for CCQs. I will ask concept check the MEANING of the words. Students work in groups of 8 to rehearse the words in a game. (each one of the group is assigned a word. They call their word and the word of another students. The other students says his word and another's. The one who makes mistakes will lose his/her turn.)
I will ask students about their favorite piece of music and how it makes them feel. Students listen to four pieces of music and discuss in pairs about how they makes them feel.
I will ask the students whether one of the pieces of music reminded them of a situation or a movie. I will divide them into groups and assign each group a piece of music. They listen to the piece then answer the questions in HO#2 to create a scene.
I will introduce the activity by asking students about their writing experiences. They then work in pairs to create short scenarios and act them out.
