Description

In this lesson, students learn about comparative and superlative on the reading about traveling.

Materials

Abc Dice

Main Aims

  • using their schematic knowledge of coherent organization, the students will be able to dice together in jumbled story

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide some examples of comparative and superlative adjectives

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Write 3 questions on the board 1. How do you get the class? 2. How long does it take you? 3. Do you normally have a good or bad journey? and then students share their idea to the class Also students use dice in pairs to answer exercise part a ICQ: Are you going to do it alone? or with friend? How much time? Music plays whiling they are playing dice.

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Ask students to read the instruction and briefly tell the students about 3 travelers who raced from London to south of France. students answer part b and compare their answers Pr-teach new words race: car race,horse race, swimming race, motor race Cut price airline =cheap airline set off= start a journey Comfortable = relaxing no physical problem clothes, furniture, situation Convenient= easy to use and get, suitable for you a very convenient bus service, sandwich is very convenient food because it finds quickly anywhere. 1. Cut the reading pages into pieces and tell students divide 2 journeys and sort them in right order. 2. underline the choice reasons and compare them in group or pairs. ( skimming) 3. Answer part C CCQ: how many journeys are they in reading? Are they in right place?

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
