Description

In this lesson SS improve their fluency skills through speaking. The lesson starts with a picture of three friends in a holiday on a beach which was used as a lead in activity. Then SS will be asked about traveling . Next they will make a list of their favourite places they would like to go and give information about these places if they know.the lesson is followed by a match activity which helped the SS to talk about the best place they could go on holiday.

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Discussion in the context of Travel

Procedure

Lead in • To set lesson context and enag Ss

I will ask Ss to look at the picture and answer these questions: Where do you think these people are? Who are the people in the photo? friends or families? What other things do you think have they planned to do there? SS predict different answers in groups ,then l will ask a volunteer in each group talk about his/her group and their discussion

Clarification • To highlight and clarify useful language for the task

Ss work in groups and match words 1 to 10 with pictures a to j 1- Island 2- mountain 3- forest. 4- water fall. 5-. Beach. 6 -. Desert. 7- lake. 8-. Glacier. 9- rainforest 10- river SS match the picture with the correct word,then I will ask them to discuss with their groups which places they would like to spend the holiday and why

Instructions • To practice the ability to converse with others

I will write the world"Holiday" Then I will ask them to discuss these questions in group Where? Why? How long? Before holiday? After holiday? With friends/family? And why? Which holiday would you enjoy the most
