Description

In this lesson students will learn speaking through the framework (productive skill ) .Through the (Memory ) lesson .They are going to learn that through may tests starting with.. 1-The memory test 2- Speaking tasks 3- Memory tasks (in page 134 -136 )

Main Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of memory

  • To provide practice of language used for asking questions in the context of memory

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (7-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1- I will tell them we are going to watch a video with some information all they need to do is to concentrate and try to memorize the information in the video 2 - In the middle of the video I will stop it and ask the them some information to check their concentrating 3 - After watching the video I will tell them to relax for a moment prepare your mind 4- I will play a game the winner is the one who can remember more than the other . 5 - I will provide a slide with questions and i will give them time to answer it in their paper . 6 - I will provide soundtrack to let them feel they are in a real game . 7 - I will use the timer

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

I will ask them first to read the bold to find any hard word . I will provide a slide in witch there will be a comparison between what I `m good at memorizing and what I`m bad at memorizing ...for example I`m bad at memorizing names I`m good at memorizing plots . I will ask students to do the same in a printed paper After that I will ask them to check together Finally . I will open class discussion

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

I will provide a slide this slide will be divided into... sure ...not sure ...don`t remember . Also .these words will be provided ...definitely ...perfectly ...I find it easy...I `m not hundred percent sure ...just let me think ...I `m afraid i cant remember ..I`ve got no idea After that i will ask them to use words from test 1 to complete full sentence like ... I definitely remember movies plots .

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

1- I will tell them we are going to play another game this time we will read some information and try to memorize it well then we are going to be groups and in each group we will be asked question that depend on memory . I will divided them into groups each group consist of A B . I will ask them to read the memory quiz very well . Student A ask student B questions from page 136. Student B ask student A questions from page 134. I will ask A to write a note of what he could not answer . After they finished we will discuss their answer together . 2 - This time I will provide a slide in this slide I will write comparing ...under that I will add... just let me think ...she is better than me ...i find it easy to remember ..ext . I will let them choose to fill the square . I will ask A from each group to prepare himself he will come to the board and prepare himself to tell us what is his partner bad at remembering and what is he good at remembering what are the differences between both of you .

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Ask students who is good at remembering movies . I will show them a picture of movie ( BABY `S DAY OUT ) I will tell them to remember his adventures and talk about it in pairs . then we will open a group discussion
