To provide clarification and practice about saying (What things we are good\bad at remembering)in the context of Memory.
Procedure (44-60 minutes)
-Ask students (Do you like taking pictures?). -Ask students to choose a picture from their phones and tell me when and where they took this picture. -ICQ:You need to write any thing in your notebooks. No,I want you only to speak. -Give students time to think and choose the picture. -Ask the Ss( why did you choose it?). -Ask the Ss (Did you find it easy to remember?). -Listen to their opinions.
1- Ask students to match each word wiyh its suitable definition. -Provide a clear and simple instructions. -Set the task. -Monitor the students. -Ask Ss to check their answers. 2-Ask students(Which things you are good at and bad at remembering?). -Demonstrate the task. -Listen to the each student . -Take some notes while students are speaking to give them feedback. 3-Ask students to read this memory task very carefully and try to remember it as much as they can. ICQ: You need to read this task very fast or word by word. word by word . -Demonstrate the task. -Set the task . -Give Ss (5:10)Minutes to read it.
-Tell the students that If we want to talk about the things we can remember ,we could say (I am good at) .. -Elicit the other useful language from the Ss. -The tell the Ss that If we want to talk about things we can not remember ,we coule say (I am bad at). -Elicit the other useful language from the Ss.
Task 1** -Make each two students work together . -Give student (A) task. -Give student (B) task. -A: ask Q1 then B:ask Q1 B:aswer A:aswer. -Demonstrate the task. -Monitor the Ss. -Ask the students(What was easy for you to remember?). -Listen to their opinions. Task 2** -Tell the Ss how could we compare between our opinions. -Elicit some information from them. -Ask the Ss to answer these questions in the paper. ICQ:Here you will take about yourself or your partner. Your partner. -Monitor the Ss. -Take some notes while they are speaking. Extra Activity** 1)Ask each student to come om the board and choose a card and try to express the information in the card using the TL. 2)Show Ss a video about some pictures and ask them to remember which picture appeared in the video. 3)Ask each student to remember a situation in his life that s\ he can not forget and tell the class about it.
-Give students feedback about (the content,language and pronounciation). -Write these words on the board. -Greate the students.
