To learn some new vocabulary through the teaching context.
Procedure (39-52 minutes)
After greeting all students, I ask them if anyone knows about the "Star Wars " series " schemata". Then, I write " celebrity heroes on the board "and elicit the meaning. Then , I elicit the meaning of " hero worship " and ask the students to discuss in pairs if they agree or disagree with the idea of " hero worship ".
I give the students a handout having an article without a title . I ask them to read the article in order to choose the best title.I inform that the paragraphs are not in order so I ask them not to worry about it. Then, I check their answer.
As I told the students in the previous stage that the paragraphs are not in the correct order so I ask them to put them in the correct order. Then, I ask them the ICQ. After they finish reading and arranging the paragraphs,I ask them to check their answers in pairs.Next, I check their answers.
I give the students a handout having some questions about some details in the article.So I ask the students to read the article in pairs again and discuss the questions.Then, we discuss the answers with each other.
I ask the students to look at the highlighted words in the article and match them to the definitions a - f.Then I check their answers eliciting the meaning of new words.
