In this Listening Activity about "Love on Online" students supposed to get the gist of the listening and earn the ability of "Scanning" to find answers to some given questions. They will also get familiar by "Wh Questions" during the listening which is going to be taught afterward. They are already familiar with present tense, Pronouns and adjectives.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in 1,2 & 3 (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Warmer 1: Please call me... Where are you from? Where do you live? Where in Istanbul? Warmer 2: Present Simple Questions by the mingling situation.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Warmer 3: Tinder and meet online Concept of GOOD MATCH. Photo of Sam & Kevin profiles and find out if they are a good match.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Pre-read 3 questions and CCQs. Listen to 2.17 Answer Questions. Put in Order. Listen again 2.17 and check the orders.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Fill in the blanks. Check answers. Listen to 2.18. check answers. Repeat: REALLY! Me too! How interesting! and practice in a secret game. Listen to 2.19 and find out if Sam likes Kevin or not?

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Role Play in Pairs: One week later Kevin calls Samantha. What will happen?
