Main Aims

Warm-up (3-5 minutes) • To set the context

I will give them this qotation" if you don't succeed try,try,try" and ask them to discuss the meaning.

Pre- reading (5-7 minutes) • Prepare the student to understand the text better

I will pre teach some vocabulary wich might block students' understanding while they are reading. This verbs will be taught through definition matching. In fact the words will be in some sentences with cues to guess the definitions.

While- reading (12-15 minutes) • To work on students comprehention and also using the text teach grammer

First they will be given a text with som gaps. Studebts should ignore the gaps and answer som gist or detailed questions. Then, their answer will be peer checked before giving them the answer. Next, they will be given "be able to" in its differnt tenses such was, has beeb able to, etc to fill the blanks. By this, they can get familiar with both form and meaning in context. To make sure they understood the grammar they will be provided with two controlled practice.

Post-reading (10-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity for producing the language

They will be given guessing activity. This is a semi- controlled activity which they should ask and answer some question from thier partner and they should answer them with the correct form of the be able to. Then, they will sdiscuss some questions such as "have you ever tried to do a sport? Were you successful? If yes/no? Why they were/ able to be successful?
