Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

put students into small groups each group 5 students , I will ask about where do you come from? Is it a good place for home?why/why not? where you live? students will take turns to ask me their questions,groups ask each other.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

Give the students two examples then under line the places in the text .

Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

students complete the exercises in the vocabulary focus , play the recording for students to check their answers to exercise a and complete the pronunciation activity .

• Ss answer exercise 3 in pairs: Match the extreme adjectives in A with an adjective in B. • Open class feedback.

Semi-Controlled Practice (4-6 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

• SS answer exercise 4 in pairs: Write 3 sentences using (places in a city) . • Open class feedback.

Free Practice (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language, and to praise good use of TL and correct the errors.

• Ss check answers by drawing three columns on the board and asking individual students to come up and write their words in the board. • Then they work in pairs or group ask and answer the questions, and also ask follow up questions where appropriate. • Open class feedback.
