• To provide clarification of the new vocabulary related to sport and exercises.
• To provide students with simple text that leads them to guess the meaning of the new vocabulary easily.
Procedure (45-59 minutes)
* Revising the last lesson that the Ss took before, which was about transport. * Asking them about their favorite sport, and why do they like it?
* Presenting a passage on the projector, giving the ss time to collect any words related to sports. * Ask them to work in pairs to assort each sport with at least one of its description
Ss will work in pairs to describe each sport
Show them pictures of the new vocabulary. Ask them to describe each picture, telling what can we use in each sport, how many members in teams. Giving them the words of sports scrambled, asking them to unscramble them.
Answer Q2 p51 to correct the misspelled words to make sure they get the spelling of the new words well.
Q2 p46 to make sure that they get the meaning of each word correctly.
Ask each S to write about 5 sentences about the sport they like
