Procedure (21-29 minutes)
1- show Ss 2 pictures and ask them to guess what's going on in each. 2- Tell ss that each picture has a small problem and both of them got resolved on the spot. 3- Ask students to work in pairs try to guess what's the problem of each picture and how it got resolved on the spot.
1- Let ss listen to the audios and discover how the problems are resolved. 2- Hand them HO1. Ask them to fill in the gaps with the form they use to take a quick decision. 3- Show them the answers on the board. 4- Give them HO 2. Ask them to work individually and write their own answers " what they would say to take a quick decision in this situation?" 5- For feedback, they check in pairs and then we will discuss it together quickly.
1- While students are busy to answer, write the timeline. 2- Ask Ss to go back to look to the 1st and 2nd HO and ask them when were these decisions made? and what verb form is used? 3- Ask them to give me the answers of Q 1. and Q 3. in HO 1. 4- Ask them a CCQs questions: * when do we use will? * on the time line ask them " Do we use it to say something that happened in the past?" " Do we use it to describe something that is happening now?" " Do we use it in the future?" 5- Go back to the two forms on the board. Ask them to guess what's the difference between both of the answers? and according to their answer explain that one if=s for offers and one is for instant decisions. 6- Explain the rule that will can be used as well with offers and instant decisions. 7- Using the left handed way to let them pronounce the form correctly. and ask them to repeat after me: use the first two fingers to show how we link I with will to be I'll.
