Healthy Food
Grade 3 level

Description

In this lesson, the Ss will be introduced to the benefits of healthy food and get the opportunity to build a food pyramid as well as planning their day's meals schedule. At the first stage, Ss will differentiate between healthy and unhealthy food (T will do elicit the vocabulary) then Ss will play a game for more practice of healthy & unhealthy food. Next, Ss will do a matching activity to check their understanding of what food to eat for different results (strong muscles, strong bones, and energy). Afterward, the Ss will, in groups, form a healthy food pyramid to categorize what they should eat more and what to eat less. Finally, the Ss will express their own choices by making a food schedule for one day. By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to pick the food of their own choice through planning their meals, and become aware of what type of food to be consumed more/less.
