To provide detailed reading practice using a text about home town
To provide clarification of home town words and also pronunciation
Procedure (24-35 minutes)
I have put students in groups of three and given each group set of cards,students in turn pick up a card and talk for as much as they can.
teaching home town vocabulary through pictures and controlling their pronunciation.
students to the board,make a circle and pass the picture in the circle and repeat the words. after this activity I have put them in two group an I will work on the form of the word by dictation trough an activity.they stand in a row and the last student must write the word at the back of the front student until they reach the board.
look at the picture and guess what Susan is going to talk about? is her city small? is it a beautiful city? ....
asking some question about the text: is Bath famous for its food? is it a good place to live? is it better or worse than your city?
