Procedure

Lead-in / Building context (2-3 minutes) • To increase students interest and activate their top-down progressing

- Come to the class by talking on your phone loudly. Make it extreme in order to get students' attention. Then ask the students Is it appropriate to talk on the phone loudly in the public. Are you annoyed by this kind of action? Why? -Ask students to share their ideas in pairs. -Nominate some students to share their ideas.

Reading the text and Highlighting the targer language (3-5 minutes) • To practice reading for skimming skill and highlighting the target language so that learners are focused on it.

-Show students the reading. -Tell students to read the text and highlight should/must/have to. -Give students a reading text. -WC feedback ask students their findings and write down those sentences on the board

Clarifying target language (5-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, so the students understand it

-Show students HO1 -Tell students to match the highlighted phrases with their meanings. -Tell students to work in pairs. -Give students HO1 -Ask students to PC -Do a WC feedback.

Clarifying target language (5-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, so the students understand it.

-Show students the HO2 -Tell students the circle the correct verb. -Give students HO. -Ask students to work in pairs. -Ask students to PC -WC feedback.

Clarifying target language (5-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, so the students understand it.

-Show students HO3 -Tell them to complete the sentences with have to/don't have to/must/mustn't. -Give students HO3 -Ask students to work in pairs. -Wc feedback.

Clarifying target language (5-10 minutes) • To clarify the form so the students learn how to contsruct the form.

-Show students HO4 -Tell students to fill the empty columns with given information. -Give students HO4 -Ask students to work in pairs. -WC feedback.

Clarifying target language (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, and pronunciaton of the language so the students understand it and how to say it..

-Show students HO5 -Tell students to look at the sentence and decide if they are about obligations, rules, laws or personal ideas, giving advice. -Give them HO5 -Tell them to work in pairs. -WC feedback and clarification of pronunciation on board through a listening text. -Make students drill the sentences. -Point out some silent consonants and their pronunciation.

Language practice (8-10 minutes) • To enable students practice speaking skills by using target language.

-Show students HO6 -Tell students to make sentences using should/shouldn’t, must/musn’t and have to. And discuss with your partners why do you think that way. -Give students HO6 -Students work in pairs. -Wc feedback.
