In this speaking, Ss will start the class with a quick guess find person game, then they will listen to some people talking in a party in present simple tense, and review a little about present simple , then by playing the conversation they will have some speaking practice.Finally Ss will imagine they are at the party.They will do practice TL.

Main Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of The way I live

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about at a party in the context of the way I live


Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- show them the images of people- group them - ask them to match the images with the information, and then stick them on the wall. the groups that finishes first is the winner. - monitor - feedback on board, drill and elicit the words.

Exposure/ Preparing to speak (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through listening

- show them the picture of listening - ask them to make some guesses about the people ( who are they? what are they doing? what are their jobs?) - monitor - WC feedback Then student listen to the conversation and tick what Terry says. Before I will give Ss time to read the pairs of sentences 1-8. The teacher will give an example. They check answers in pair and w/C FB. Students will play the conversation.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

To clarify TL teacher will hand in Listening ex script. Wh and yes or no quesations will be clarified by teacher.

Productive Task(s) (12-15 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

In this stage of the lesson Ss will do speaking practice with role play activity. First, they complete the given questions. Second, they will pretend be a new person.they will take notes about their details. Then I will make a demo with a student about asking questions and answers about themselves. I will use James Bond cartoon image. Then use and practice TL via speaking.

Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Teacher will notes of major errors to feed back on later. W/C FB
