The teacher starts the lesson by asking students if they have computers and what they use their computers for. the teacher tries to elicit the topic of the first activity that focuses on computer games and ask students if they are interested in computer games why/why not? ,and what their favourite computer games are and whether they like particular characters they like/ and if they prefer human characters. He organised the students into groups where some students like computer games and some don't and get them to discuss it for a while then feedback on why some of their partners like/don't like computer games.
The teacher moves from the feedback of the warmer discussion to raise the question about how famous some of the main characters in computer games have become and that characters were adapted for movies which are many people's favourite "pastime", tries to get the discussion on then shows them the illustration and the information about Tom Raider. he gives them time to read the quiz and then in pairs students discuss their answers togehter
The teacher tells the student they are going to listen to Lara Croft speaking about her personal life. the teacher draws the students attention to listen for the information they need to complete the quiz. the teacher may replay the the track one again if needed
The teacher elicit the answers from students, and may extend the discussion to include what students think of this character and whether they like to live like her and if there are things they don't like about her.
The teacher asks the students to pick questions from the quiz and answer them. the answers should come from the students true life. the students are asked not to write their names on their papers. the papers are mixed with each other then the teacher chooses randomly and he either reads or assign a student to read out and the class will have to discover whose paper is that.
