Description

In this lesson, students will learn how to read for the main idea (gist) and for deeper comprehension of text on a multilingual boy. To begin with, teacher shows a short video clip to learners, elicits 3 blocking vocabularies and then makes them predict the context through a reading for gist activity. As the second task, Ss are encouraged to read the text to detect specific languages that are related to the main character of the text. To further involve the learners in the reading comprehension text, Ss do a true false activity, and finally personalize this skill through an question and answer task.
