My main aim is to get students to talk more and to teach them the meaning of the words that might be new to them.
To manage the time and go through all of my procedure stages smoothly.
Procedure (31-46 minutes)
Teacher tells Ss a quick story about things that ciuld go wrong in a holiday.
Ss think of 3 things that could go wrong during a holiday. Ss discuss in pairs what they thought about. T monitors.
Ss play a match the word to its definition game in two groups. Ss give their answers and check if they're correct. Teacher corrects the wrong answers if there are any.
Teacher explains the previous words using pictures to help the students understand more. Teacher explains how the words are pronounced.
Teacher explains few words that students may find hard in the next practice. Teacher gives students a picture and Ss work in pairs to discuss what they think it's about.
Ss listen then think about what they think happened to the family. Ss mark the family's route on the map and talk about what natural disaster happened in each place.Ss discuss in pairs.
Ss listen one more time and answer the questions individually. Then Ss talk in pairs about their answers.
