Love -Hate relationship
Procedure (34-50 minutes)
the students are going to be shown some pictures related to the topic and they will be asked if they know what those pictures are about so their curiosity will rise and they will get involved in the topic. the teacher and the students are going to discuss about the pictures.
in the limited given time to read the short text, the students must underline words that they find difficult to read or pronounce . and as they want to start reading the text they will be asked ICQs. during this they individually will be monitored and guided if necessary.in this short time given the students will learn how to read and understand in a limited time .
the students will be asked to do the vocabulary task in groups of two or three so the answers will be checked and STT will rise. then the teacher helps them elicit the meaning of some of the vocabularies by using them in sentences.
the students will be asked to use the new vocabulary that they've learned to try and come up with new ones.
in the last part the students are given a chance to discuss the questions which are asked about the topic, with the new vocabulary they have learned. the teacher writes their mistakes on the board while the students are discussing and they correct the mistakes together.
