Main Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice of seasons and weather conditions.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of Weather conditions.


Ice Breaker (3-5 minutes) • To get to know the learners

Ball ice breaker to get their personal information and their interest and to let them know the same information about me.

Lead in (3-5 minutes) • TO Set the theme of the lesson

Ask who loves that season and why they love it. Divide the learners into four groups and give them the names of the seasons.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Ask the learners what they can see in the pictures then get the answers then the feedback and drilling.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Provide the learners with a task. The task is two questions they should ask each other to learn how to ask about the weather conditions.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Provide them with a matching activity to test their understanding of the weather conditions.

Controled practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with Controled practice of the target language

Provide Ss with a controled practice to improve their fluency in the context of weather conditions.
